100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF 47 for Face & Body (Water-Resistant)

I found out about this sunscreen from a dermatologist that I follow on TikTok. It’s one of a few others that he recommended. It’s expensive and it is a great sunscreen BUT, I prefer the way that this other bottle dispenses the lotion. The container on the left requires you to pour it on your hand and the container on the right delivers it much better. It’s kind of like the toothpaste that comes in a squirt container. Either way, it’s a great product, I just prefer the other container.

Love this sunscreen! Although a little pricey, it is a fantastic physical sunscreen with excellent staying power! Good for kids and adults alike. It leaves a slight white cast but this is to be expected for physical sunscreens.Does not block my pores or cause acne.

First, I don't understand the negative reviews unless people don't know how to apply the product. It's a professional grade sunscreen; a small amount goes a long way. You don't apply near your eyes/eyelids. Once it's on it doesn't budge. This is the very best sunscreen for those who burn extremely easily. Meaning, the lightest of light complexions. Think 'porcelain fair' it doesn't break you out, but can have a slight whitish cast upon application which dissipates quickly. It's a true skin saver when you are prone to burning. This is the first time I've ever purchased a sunscreen at full price; as an esthetician I'm willing to pay full price; it's that good

As you can see in the pics, this definitely forms a water resistant layer on your skin, and it lasts a long while. Even with rubbing it into your skin, you’ll still get a little bit of white, but it’s to be expected with a sunscreen like this. In the sun, I still got more freckles, but not burned.

Works great. Doesn't go into eyes when sweating

The sunscreen is amazing. I hate sunscreen, but this stuff truly rubs in and doesn’t leave a cast even up close. It’s one of only two truly hypoallergenic genuinely fragrance free sunscreen on the market and it’s elegantly formulated and price pretty well for how nice it is

Good product and was recommended by my derm. I have read rosacea so almost all traditional sunscreens give me redness and irritate my skin but not so with this one!

I love this sunscreen and I use it on my 5 year old too she also likes it I like how if it runs down your face from water and swimming it doesn’t burn eyes like other sunscreens also I feel like it helps lighten my acne scars idk if im talking myself into that tho 🤷🏻‍♀️ love it !

Great sunscreen. My skin is fairer- the white cast goes away nicely after rubbing it in well and waiting a little while. My face feels protected without being greasy or having that heavy sweat bead feeling of some spf. Really glad I found this, it’s easy to wear every day. I also think the vitamin C is working really well. I didn’t even realize this formula had vitamin C until I noticed my sun freckles fading away and looked through my products to see if any had fading ingredients

This sunscreen is excellent. I have vascular rosacea and reactive skin. Because my rosacea is made much worse by flushing in heat, it is very hard for me to find a 80 minute water resistant mineral sunscreen that does not trap heat by being too occlusive. This is definitely heavier than a daily use sunscreen, but it is much lighter than most of the mineral sunscreens I’ve used in the past. It has helped with my flushing so much, and it works incredibly well. I have used it exercising outdoors and multiple days in the sun on a boat with no visible sun exposure afterward, and no rosacea flare-up from flushing. It seems to do well being sweat resistant, but I do stick to reapplying after 80 minutes of water or sweat or two hours in general. Highly recommend this!Some notes: This does have a white cast. It’s not as intense as some mineral sunscreens, and it seems to settle into my skin after about 10 or 15 minutes. However, I am fair, so I’m not sure how it would settle in for other skin tones. Just a heads up.I used to use Babo Botanicals super shield mineral sunscreen 50 spf. It is a wonderful sunscreen for sensitive skin and for excellent sun protection. However, after a few years of use, the occlusive nature of the sunscreen made me flush a lot more. And it would stick around a week after. If you’re looking for something a little heavier and more moisturizing than the UV Pure, Babo Botanicals is a great option.For my daily sunscreen, I use ISDIN Efotona Actinica 50 spf, and I can’t recommend it enough. It is awesome! Especially for folks with rosacea and reactive skin. It has 40 minutes of water and sweat resistance, and it feels great on your skin.

I stopped using it for a while and switched to other formulas because I convinced myself that SPF 47 wasn’t high enough. Unfortunately, every other sunscreen I tried either broke me out or worsened my closed comedones.One of the reasons I originally stopped using this sunscreen was because it felt a bit drying. However, after adding more hydrating products to my skincare routine, I realized how effective this formula really is.It’s easy to reapply throughout the day, and unlike many sunscreens, additional layers don’t seem to clog my pores or trigger breakouts. Yes, it can feel drying and leaves a noticeable white cast at first, but in my experience the white cast fades significantly within about 20 minutes.It’s also a great value when compared to many sunscreens marketed specifically for the face. I’m extremely acne-prone and use this on my face without any issues. In fact, it’s the only sunscreen I’ve found so far that doesn’t aggravate my acne.While the initial price may seem high, you’re getting 4 ounces for around $30, which is much more product than many of EltaMD’s face-specific sunscreens. Honestly, I think it performs just as well on the face as some of their more advanced and specialized facial formulas.If you’re acne-prone and struggling to find a sunscreen that doesn’t cause breakouts, this one is definitely worth considering.

Our dermatologist recommended EltaMD mineral sunscreen and I ordered this for my husband to use daily. After trying it myself, I find it an excellent sunscreen. While it does go on with a bit of a white cast, this fades as it is absorbed and feels nice on the skin. There is no sticky sunscreen feel, even after wearing for hours.

Absolutely what I needed. Does not leave a white film and provides great protection. Can be a little drying, so use a moisturizer underneath. Don't listen to the negative reviews, give it a try.

Excellent skin protector against sun damage

My dermatologist recommended this brand , now I will not use anything else. I suffer with melasma, so this product protects my face from any unwanted exposure.

My doctor recommended this product after a surgery. Super lightweight and my face looks radiants and does't feels a greasy at all.

This is becoming my favorite sunscreen. I've tried about 5 mineral facial SPFs so far, and this is a good non-comedogenic one. It takes a few seconds of rubbing in to get that transparency on the face, but after enough rubbing, it leaves the skin glowing and moisturized all day( reapply as needed). Will purchase again.

Not greasy and absorbs easily. Many sunscreens break my children’s skin out, but eltamd never does.

Finally, a sunscreen with zinc that can be rubbed in and not left with a white ghost look.

Used for family boating and snorkeling in the gulf. No one burned. Rubs in well with no white cast or sticky, slimy feel.

My nose tends to burn really easy at the beach. You just need one drop of this to protect that. Just came back from a week-long trip to the beach and it worked great.

For those of you who were devestated about the reformulation of the elta md elements as I was, this product will save you. This formula is almost 98% identical to the original uv elements, no chemicals!! The white cast isn’t horrible but I found if I dispense a little of the uv pure in my hands and mix some loose face powder or bronzer with it in my hand before applying it perfectly tints to your skin tone! Was so happy with this discovery just had to share 🥰

Purchased this for my tween daughter. She is just starting a simple skin care routine which includes daily sunscreen. She has sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate her skin at all. Love it.

Goes on with a white tint, but absorbed quickly, and mostly doesn't have any of those cancer causing ingredients in it!!

I have used this sunscreen for years and get excellent results. This time I ordered the one for face and body and found that several friends told me to rub it into my face more. However, when out in the brutal sun, it's the best choice around.

I bought this because of the high rating it got. A week later, I had an unexpected appointment with my dermatologist. I asked about it. He gave it thumbs up.

Finally...a sunblock that doesn't have that typical sunblock-y smell and non greasy! I love it...just wish it were cheaper but of course less expensive than getting skin cancer so I will keep purchasing. There is a *very* mild scent that goes away quickly (if you are smell sensitive).

The stuff is the best! I use it on my skin as well as my two year-old daughter’s skin. It absorbs very quickly and does not leave a white residue. I use this on top of my moisturizer every day and love it.

our whole family uses this. Kids and adults. It has thick coverage and works well to prevent burning. It does leave you a little pasty white if you dont rub it in well but thats ok with us. We also buy the tinted face lotion of this same brand and it is our go to for face sunscreen. Would recommend this product as our Doctor recommended this brand to us and we are happy with it.

Goes on really well, no white cast left. Didn't leave us feeling oily, greasy, or smelly after using product. The family used it for our beach vaca and no one got sunburnt the whole trip. I got it by a suggestion from a friend's skin care doctor.

I was nervous to use this on my face but the cost per oz is a lot better than their mineral face sunscreen so I tried it and it's wonderful! little white cast but very smooth, doesn't make me break out, and very affordable!

Great product for your face--doesn't burn your eyes when you sweat! I use this sparingly and keeps me safe from the rays as I'm prone to skin cancer. Also use on my hands, but use the cheaper stuff on my arms and legs.

Rubs in easily and quickly without leaving white residue on white skin. Not only does my son not have an allergic reaction to this sunscreen but he also doesn't complain about me putting it on and rubbing it in because it's so quick it goes on and absorbs like a good quality lotion and he hasn't gotten a sunburn since we've used it so I'm willing to pay the price.

The true ELTAMD PURE product is easy to put on, blends in well and blocks the sun. Only order through the ELTAMD website or through this link ONLY: AMAZON\ELTAMD (which is the real ELTAMD Amazon webpage) or you will end up with a fake product that doesn't rub in, leaves your face with white kabuki makeup. Who knows if it's even sunscreen at all? I ordered from Amazon the first time from what looked like the real ELTAMD page and it was fake product--boxes were used, labels falling off and the "sunscreen" was thick, white paste--the fake sellers give ELTAMD a bad name.
