Okay, I have never tried retinol before but know people rave about it so I decided to give my fav skincare brand Eight Saints' formula a try to see if I could sense a difference in my skin. I struggle with slight hyperpigmentation, bumpy texture, and painful acne and clogged pores that result in tiny harmless - but annoying - blackheads. While honing my skincare routine has helped me a TON (especially with certain products from Eight Saints; like their Down To Earth Facewash & their Cloud Whip vitamin C cream, etc) I still struggle with the things I mentioned to a degree that's frustrating. And ta-da... here comes the Smooth Sailing retinol serum!! It's been a couple-ish weeks now, and I started a little slow... first several days I did it every other day to test my sensitivity (as they recommend online), and then once my skin started responding well, I went to every night. It has a very a nice feeling; thick-ish, gooey (but NOT GREASY) and allllllllmost clear looking upon dropping it onto your palm, but as you rub in it very quickly absorbs thin and dry and within seconds I could barely even feel it anymore. The price for the amount in the jar in comparison to how much I had to use (the bottle says "pea size amount" which was more than enough) seems good as well. And omg the difference!!! I have noticed a serious decrease in my bumpy skin texture and acne production. I can't wait to see what this does long-term and might have to update my review again next month or so!! So far, I'm obsessed.

I love the ‘Smooth Sailing’ face lotion so much I decided to try the serum with it. Eight Saints is great for my sensitive and dry skin, and this product contains retinol, for my fine lines.
