I’ve been dealing with pregnancy-related breakouts, and this cream has been a pleasant surprise. It starts reducing the size and redness of pimples within 1–2 days, and I only need the tiniest dab on each blemish. The small bottle is definitely SMALL, but because so little product is needed, I can see it lasting much longer than I initially expected. Another thing I appreciate is that it isn’t drying or irritating like many acne spot treatments. It also has no noticeable scent, which is a huge plus for anyone who’s sensitive to fragrances. Overall, it’s an effective, gentle spot treatment that has worked well for my skin, and I’m very happy with the results so far.

I have sensitive skin and have been using this product as part of my skincare routine. What I like most is its lightweight gel texture and how comfortable it feels on the skin. It absorbs well without feeling greasy and works nicely with the rest of my routine. I've noticed that my skin looks calmer and feels more balanced when I use it consistently. Please pay attention to the size that you are ordering. When I purchased this product I thought it would be a decent size based on the photo but I ended up getting a sample sized product. It is so small that it won’t even last a week and I am disappointed because why is a brand selling a 5ml tube for THIRTEEN DOLLARS?? That’s almost the same price as my cleanser which is 400ml worth of product. Update: despite the size of the product, it has been working really well on my skin and I’ve noticed a difference with my breakouts & dark marks (they’ve cleared up quite a bit). I use this along with my Retin-A (tretinoin), not at the same time obviously & my skin is clearing up.

I use this once a day in the morning before moisturizer. This significantly helps treat/prevent breakouts in my chin area. The bottle is mid sized but lasts for months! Easy to use and a great addition to my skincare routine.

This is definitely a travel size. I purchased this size because I wasn't sure if it would work or not, wish me luck..

I absolutely love this product! Paula’s Choice Azelaic Acid is honestly one of the best skincare products I’ve tried. With consistent use, I’ve noticed a visible reduction in dark marks and my skin looks much more even. It has also helped reduce new breakouts, which was a big struggle for me. The key is to be consistent, but once you are, the results are definitely worth it. For those who don’t want to read my whole review it basically helped my acne scars go away while postpartum and breastfeeding. My skin is sensitive and this hasn’t bothered my skin one bit! There’s no stickiness to it, it’s like a cream. I do have dry skin and once the product is on it makes it bit dry but I go in immediately with the la roch posay cicaplast or a good moisturizer. The product itself melts down as soon as you rub it into the skin so it’s not thick or oily. It’s helped my hyperpigmentation and acne scars! I’m breastfeeding so I can’t use a retinal so I turned to azelaic acid and it’s been the best choice. In the images that I provided show my acne scars that I once had. This is the only product I use besides moisturizer cleanser and sunscreen. So it’s definitely the product that has helped me.

This review is for anyone who is dealing with the above! I've been using it for a week now and it has been a success. A little bit of backstory: Im 36, I've never had that much acne other than a break out here and there. I started noticing this comedonal, possibly hormonal, acne around my mouth and middle of my chin. It wasn't dermatitis. I use great skin care and gentle exfoliation on a daily basis, but it wasn't kicking the acne to the curb. I saw this and thought that it may be a good addition to my routine. Within two days, I noticed a lot of the hyperpigmentation had gone down. I'm writing this review a week out and all the little small bumps that I used to feel are almost gone. I'm really glad I spent the money. It is a little expensive but man it is worth it. First photo is six days ago. I know it's really hard to take photos of the small bumps that you constantly feel but I swear it really has diminished them.

I question why I didn’t get this product sooner in my life. Seriously. This product has made such a positive change in my skin - I feel like crying. While I have never been officially diagnosed, I’ve always felt that I have a type of rosacea. I don’t get pustules, zits or anything like that (unless I consume a lot of certain sugary drinks, and food) but for as long as I can remember, my face has always dealt with redness. Yes, certain things such as consuming sugar triggers it and makes it worse. I’ve been using skincare since my mid 20s. I am currently in my early 30s. I feel for the most part I was using products that were benefiting my skin, but as far as the redness went, nothing I used seemed to treat it. Around a year ago, I heard about how azelaic acid can be beneficial to people who have rosacea - treating redness and the pustules that go with it. So while I was aware of it, I just kept putting off purchasing it. Life stuff always coming up. After talking with ChatGPT about how sick I was about always walking around with a red/pink face, it recommended azelaic acid. Specifically Paula’s Choice. Now we all know that with a lot of skin care products it can take time to see differences. No lie… I began seeing results from this within just under two weeks or so. The redness in my face has decreased A LOT. I am now at a point in my life where I feel more comfortable going out without having to wear foundation or using something like Cicapair by Dr. Jart+ (which by the way is great at covering the redness). I am extremely pale, so dealing with a face that was red almost constantly - I felt that the difference between my face and body were so dramatically different, it made me self-conscious. But now? I am much more confident. The redness isn’t completely gone, but when I say it has been dramatically reduced, I mean it! My skin also has this type of glow that I’ve never experienced with other products - not even my tretinoin. I use this product every other day. I have several products I use for my skin and I cycle through them every other day. When I do apply this, like with every other skin care product, I always mist my skin lightly with water. Yes, doing this increases the potency of products but for my skin, I can tolerate it just fine. I also feel that by dampening your skin, the product spread, spreads a lot more evenly and easily. While this is priced at $39 and being only 1 ounce, I know it sounds expensive. But I will say that a little goes a LONG way. You don’t need to be using globs of this stuff. Also, I feel you can get away with using this every other day, like myself, so it can last longer. Everyone’s skin is different. Like I said, I’ve never been officially diagnosed, but based on what I’ve experienced and what I’ve read, I truly do feel I have some form of rosacea. I also have certain triggers that make it worse; such as consuming certain types of sugary drinks. So I feel that if you identify your specific triggers, use this product… you should see a definite difference. Wish I had gotten this product sooner! I absolutely love it.

This product helps lighten pimples so they don't leave a dark spot or a visible area where you can tell there was a pimple. It's really good! Believe me.

Works great. I’ve seen progress with this for the past couple of days. It has lighten up my acne scars and calmed down the redness. Lightweight, easy application and feels hydrating.

what i’m dealing with: 30 years old. painful monthly hormonal acne focused in the chin area. dark hyperpigmentation left after even if I don’t touch it. what i’ve noticed with 1 week of use: new hormonal acne still comes but much less so. where i would usually get 3 new ones, i am now only getting 1. not a total life saver, but its only been 1 week so i will take it!! i noticed this speed heals the ones that were already there. and they don’t leave as dark of a mark. hyperpigmentation on my mouth corners hasn’t changed too much in my opinion. this is from over exfoliating and not caused by acne. less oil was the most noticeable difference. this will help with surface breakouts. as for the deep hormonal ones, i have noticed less overall but not a complete halt. but its only been 1 week of use. [{ 5-Month Update!! }] It’s been 5 months / 22 Weeks now (Started in late Aug, now it is Feb) and can confirm there is light at the end of the tunnel. I combine this product with The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. My skin has gone through major improvements. Breakouts are much more manageable with simple patches. Hyperpigmentation is not 100% fixed, but it’s better than where I was before so i’ll take it. I’ve gone just reordered my 3rd tube in the larger size. It’s pricey but dealing with breakouts at 30 feels worse than dropping some $$ for this little thing.

I got the travel size option and man it’s tiny for $13. I have Rosacea so it better do some hard lifting for that price at this size. I wanted to try it out before buying the bigger size. Hopefully there’s enough in the tube to make a difference.

This has really saved my skin. I get really bad hormonal breakouts occasionally and have tried almost everything to get rid of the hyperpigmentation/acne scars. I’ve used Paula’s Choice BHA and other products which have done wonders on my skin. I finally decided to give this a try after seeing reviews on Sephora. I kid you not, within the first two days I could see a difference. It was really noticeable within a week of use. It’s my holy grail now. It’s perfect for sensitive skin but of course always patch test. Definitely give this product a try. I have sensitive and oily skin but this has really done wonders! The scaring was really worse than the first photo.

Thanks to TikTok! I went to the dermatologist for my acne and I got prescribed with a cream which it’s dry my skin really bad which I am a oily skin and i went to TikTok for recommendations and this product is giving me the results it’s definitely worth it!

I’ve spent the last 30 years of my 42 on this planet frantically covering up my skin. Going without makeup or even going with something as light as a BB product was unfathomable to me. I have it all: rosacea, large pores, acne, ruddy undertones… I’m Polish and Spanish, so I’m really pale but my face is really red. THIS STUFF… changed all of that. I saw someone on Reddit recommend this for rosacea, and after growing tired of seeing a tomato in the mirror every time I took my makeup off, I tried this. Within one day? A small difference. Within two weeks? I’m ready to go without foundation. For real. The photo I’m attaching is after 10 days, with a tiny bit of tinted moisturizer and blush over my skin. A miracle. I wish I could go back in time and give this stuff to teenaged me.

I just started to use it but I already like it. So far I don’t see any visible changes, but the most important thing is that it hasn’t caused me an allergy like other products, I’ll continue to use it and hope for a good result

Después de una recomendación de esta crema por un amigo, me decidí a buscarla y comprarla, mi error estuvo en no ver el detalle del producto, el envase es MUY pequeño pero es entendible ya que la publicación dice 5ml, pero eso no es un inconveniente, de hecho es mejor para que no gastes más dinero en comprar la más grande sin antes haberla probado, la crema es buena a mi me sirvió muchísimo vi resultados en mi piel desde el día 2 así que la recomiendo, si la usas con un gel húmectante es mejor. ADVERTENCIA: SI VAS A RECIBIR SOL USA PROTECTOR SOLAR DESPUÉS DE APLICARTE EL PRODUCTO. La fragancia no es la mejor del mundo pero no es un problema

READ THIS IF YOU'RE WONDERING IF YOUR PC IS REAL OR NOT When I received my package, there was 1. NO PACKAGING BOX 2. NO SAFETY SEAL I immediately wondered if and suspected that this product was FAKE. I looked at other reviews and couldn't seem to get a definite answer on it... so I took matters into my own hands. The conclusion is: THIS PRODUCT IS REAL!! Even if your full size tube doesn't come in an official box and is simply vacuum sealed in plastic- that is AUTHENTIC. I reached out to the customer service chat with the official Paula's Choice team and confirmed my packaging was CORRECT! Second of all, there is NO safety seal on this so don't worry if yours doesn't come with one. I saw on their official site that they list exactly which products come with the seal. The Azelaic Acid product is NOT one of them. ----- Texture / smell ---- There is no smell and it's a white lotion-like texture similar to lightweight Aveeno. I put it on in the morning (just dab it onto my blemish) and then wear Round Lab over it. ------ AS FOR RESULTS ON MY FACE ----- That is TBD. I just got this product yesterday so I'm going to be using it the next few months and will update my review. I am using this to treat my PIE after a deep pimple caused a red blemish which won't go away smh.

I'm pregnant & azaleiac acid is one of those ingredients considered safe to use during pregnancy. It has dramatically reduced the appareance of conjested pores on my chin. Hyperpigmentation starting to improve overall facial complexion. Non-irratating. This is 2 weeks into using it. Im hoping it continues to do good to my skin until post-partum. **P.s. 1 fl oz for $30ish is the same as advertised on the official Paulas website, some folks dont read/research & be dissapointed .**

I’m 67 and had terrible acne that would not respond to anything. I purchased the travel size since I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on yet another product. That tiny tube was all it took. This worked! The fabulous side effect is the impact it had on ageing skin.

This is a review for the 5 mL small tube of Boost. I got this to try out the product before buying the full-size tube. The tube is small, but I think there's enough to get a sense of whether or not the product would work for someone. I’ve been using it for a few weeks, mostly as a spot treatment, and it works pretty well. I have combination-sensitive skin and the only side effect I notice is some mild stinging when I put it on, however it can be mixed with moisturizer, so I mixed it with a mild moisturizer, and this makes the stinging barely noticeable. I think this stuff has helped make my skin smoother, clearer, and keeps breakouts away to some extent. I might have had some mild purging early on, but that has since improved. It’s not a miracle product for me, but I ended up buying the full-size tube because it has worked better than a lot of other things I’ve tried. 4.5 stars.

I have been really frustrated with my hyperpigmentation and it seems nothing has really worked. I'm 43 and I've had hyperpigmentation on my cheeks since I was 30 (and been fighting it since). I'm glad I tried this. I know it seems impossible but it actually worked in TWO days. Pictured see my skin (not a selfie camera and no beauty filter). I'll try to find a before close up too!

I didn't expect the azaleic acid to be a small tube

I like this. Beautywithin on youtube couldnt stop racing about this and I see why. There's a huge difference in my skin TONE and hyperpigmentation and I still have a long way to go but it's only been 1 week. The first 3 days it was very tingly and a bit irritating but my skin has now adjusted so no more irritation. You can also mix it with your fav moisturizer to ease some of that. No scent goes on smooth not sticky. I love it

This has helped get rid of some adult acne and blackheads (yeah!). There is no scent, it’s not greasy and my skin seems brighter. This is now part of my skincare routine and I will purchase again. Also quick delivery.

In a moment of desperation as I couldn’t get a dermatologist appointment for what I self-diagnosed to be rosacea, I researched as many recommendations and read as many reviews as I could. I chose this after reading about Aziac acid’s help with rosacea flare ups, and I am in love! My new routine: micellar water on a cotton round, wash my face with mild cleanser, apply Dr. Wade’s acne/rosacea serum, apply the Paula’s Choice-Azeliac Acid booster, let those soak in and finish with a hydrating night cream. I do this now both am and pm...and am so thrilled with the results in just a few weeks. The bumps/breakouts have all cleared and smoothed, so now i am feeling so much more confident as foundation covers over much better now. I can’t wait to see what another few weeks of use brings!
