I have straight, Asian hair and the Gisou Oil is a good oil but probably not the best for my hair type. It is a thicker oil so I have to use it at night after washing my hair to give it time to sink in. My hair is really soft and silky in the morning after using the oil this way. However, I cannot use it during the day unless I have my hair completely bunned up, the oil is just too heavy for my hair type. I don't have this issue with other oils that work just as well whether given time to absorb or during the day. This oil may be better suited for thick hair on the coarse side.
Also mine does not have any scent at all, I was hoping for a honey scent if it is "honey infused" but there is only a very faint old kind of smell despite the nice glass bottle and dropper.

I bought this hair oil to help define the waves from my digital perm and keep the ends from looking dry. It smells sweet and floral but it's very subtle and you can't smell it at all once it's applied. The texture feels silky and it spreads evenly. I usually apply it to my dry hair but it would probably be better applied with damp hair. I usually use 3-4 droppers full and then scrunch it in. It gives my waves a smoother, more separated look.
The glass bottle is small but really pretty. I keep it on display instead of hiding in a drawer because it's just too cute. The dropper is tiny and ineffectual though. It barely releases a few drops at a time, so I have to go back in several times to get enough for my mid-length hair. I guess you're not supposed to need to use that much, but if I don't get several droppers full I don't get the effect that I want.
I’ve used it for about two weeks and noticed less frizz and softer ends. It gives a bit of shine but nothing overly glossy. It feels pretty light and suitable for daily use.

I have stick straight, very long hair, and always oil the bottom half of it when I get out of the shower (about halfway down the shaft to the ends). I love this hair oil. It has a very subtle, nice scent (I don't notice it unless I intentionally get close enough to take a sniff. The smell is nice, but doesn't linger on my hair, which means I can layer this over whatever I want and it doesn't matter, I like that. This hair oil works well, for a variety of things. It keeps my ends from looking dry and frazzled, it's lightweight and doesn't make my hair look limp and greasy, and it's also a heat protectant, which is fantastic. My only complaint is the packaging, it's beautiful to look at, but the rubber dropper top starts to degrade if you touch it with oil on your hands, and eventually, toward the end of my bottle the dropper usually has kind of disintegrated, or is almost impossible to open, which is annoying, but it's still worth using.

Ive used this hair oil maybe half a dozen times so far and I really love it. I have very long 2A hair and my ends always need special attention. I only use this on my ends, maybe a total of about 8 inches at most. I put a little bit in my hands, rub it between my palms to warm it up, and take my fingers through and wipe my palms down the lengths. I’ve used it both wet and dry. My ends are tidy and soft. There is a little residue left on my hands afterwards from the dimethicone, and I just wash it off. I avoid using shampoo and conditioner with any silicone in it, but using this separately on just the ends is more targeted and my ends are shiny and smooth. It is a very small bottle, but even with all my hair… I only need a very small amount.

First of all, it is not oily at all. Oil is dispensed with a dropper and oil felt thick, almost like honey, it wasn't runny or oily.

I ordered this specifically to use just on the ends of my hair. My hair is long fine and color treated. The ends dry out long before my length, and my scalp tends to get oily sometimes. Thus, the need to treat my ends differently than the rest of my hair. This has a nice sweet floral scent. It comes in a bottle with a dropper. I just put a bit on my palm then massage this into the ends, then I run my hand through the middle length just to use up the excess. This increases the shine on your hair immediately. I do also notice a difference in the softness of my hair. It helps a little with frizz control, with dry hair, better if added in when wet. The instructions suggest you can also add a few drops of this to a hair mask to add more nourishment to your hair mask. This is a twenty mL bottle. It has a long list of ingredients most of them are plant and fruit extracts.

I have a complicated relationship with this hair oil. it works very well, it contains silicone’s that fill up empty spots into your hair that make your hair strands appear fuller. I don’t know what they put into this hair oil, but it prevents your hair from looking greasy and it’s very buildable. Around the time that I was consistently using it, I was actually growing my hair a lot longer and fuller, but that could also just be due to me taking care of my hair more often. It works really well, but I’m just afraid for the price that it’s not everything that it truly is. If you want a reliable hair oil and you have the money to spend absolutely go for it and try it out but if you don’t, then I would look past the pretty packaging and the influencer marketing and find a cheaper alternative. But overall, it’s a great hair oil that doesn’t have much greasiness to it, it makes your hair look, shiny and tames frizz, and it’s not very sticky. This hair oil also works on both curly and straight hair, which I love.
