⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Informative, Fun, and Easy to Follow! The Forager’s Guide to Wild Foods is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in learning more about edible wild plants and foraging. The information is well-organized, easy to understand, and presented in a way that makes it enjoyable for beginners while still being useful for more experienced foragers. We really enjoyed learning from the contents of this book! It made exploring nature feel more interactive and gave us a better appreciation for what can be found right in our own surroundings. The pictures and descriptions are helpful for identification, and the guidance is practical and clear. It’s the kind of book you can keep going back to as you learn and explore more. Overall, a great addition for anyone interested in outdoor learning, self-sufficiency, or simply enjoying nature in a new way. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this book. I have another book by the same author and absolutely love that one too!!! This book is very detailed, gives locations within the United states where each are primarily known for growing "wild." Also gives uses, recipes, and warnings on most. I am so thrilled to add this to my book shelf and add this book as another resource. The author has 2 other books that I want waiting to be purchased. This author became one of my my favorite authors for medicinal herbs and tinctures. This is a must have if you are forging.

So far so good my wife got this as a present from me and it was something that she has wanted for awhile so I got it and according to her it is a wealth of information and she loves it. It tells of different kinds of plants and things that you can use as food to help feed yourself or family if things go bad like they seem to be headed.

I hadn't been able to find the book.....because my wife, The Master Gardener, filched it and hid it in her bookcase before I could get it. But She said that it is a good academic study. And she kept it. Although she grows more of the commercially grown plants from anywhere in the much of the USA and some other countries like Australia where we recently traveled. From my brief look at it, it appears to be well organized and if you first Identify the plant, from the book pictures and description in the book it's index will get you to the information about the plant's edible parts, qualities, medicinal uses, benefits and how to harvest. Each plant refence comes with a plant picture and small map of where it grows in North America. There are 11 pages of index with about 1500 plants listed. The descriptions are What it is, Flower, Leaf, edible parts, Medicinal uses and How to Eat

This is one of the best books that I have found on Amazon. I love that it shows pictures to identify all the edible foods that are around my property. Plus is also shows possible poisonous look a likes that could be harmful if you don't identify the right plant. Gives tips on how to check if its edible or not. I love this book. Everyone should have one.
