10% Niacinamide Pore-Refining & Skin-Perfecting Serum

Love this. Has the texture of water, gets a little sticky then soaks in. I love it. Highly recommend. Lasts a while so you definitely get your moneys worth.

Here is a picture of what I use for my face which is both oily and dry. It has been hard finding the right face products for my skin. A lot of times it would clog my large pores, or I would have white heads along with dry/ red blotchy skin. Then I researched some of Paula’s Choice products. I picked out what I thought fit my type of skin. After some adjusting my skin has been the best it has ever been. I don’t have big blackheads, white heads, dry skin, or red blotches. And it feels great. In the morning I use the face wash, eye cream, and the daily hydrating fluid lotion. At night I use the face wash, the toner (make sure you let your face completely dry afterwards before moving on), I use 3 drops of the boost (let that dry), then I put on the night oil free moisturizer.Every Tuesday night I use the exfoliate instead of the toner. You let it dry completely. It takes about 15 minutes. I usually don’t put anything on after using the exfoliate because I am too tired to wait for it to dry. It works for me.Then about once a month or every two weeks on a Friday night, after using the toner, I use exfoliate rinse off treatment. Afterwards I finish with the boost and night moisturizer.

I recommend this serum of Paulas Choice. I love it.....I saw the difference in my skin.

I can't say enough about how much this has improved and saved my son's skin! He had terrible acne all over his face and he was starting to scare from them. I started him on this about 2 months ago and the improvement from just 2 months is a miracle. The scars faded and his skin is clearing so much. He still has a few break outs here and there but not like before. He is more confident and is enjoying adding this to his skin care routine.

It’s been past a few weeks of using this product. It definitely cleared up a lot of dark acne spots from my face. You have to keep using it for more time because yes it did clear up significantly but the changes are not drastic at about 3-4 weeks into using it. Overall if it wasn’t so pricey I would continue using it but because of the price I will switch to another niacinimide hopefully it works like this one. As for the consistency it feels like water. And for the smell now this is something you’ll want to take note of IT HAS A WEIRD SMELL THAT YOU CANT TAKE OFF YOUR HANDS NOT EVEN MY WASHING THEM. I’ve been told I have a sensitive nose so I can really smell it.

Both products camed seal. I remove the plastic seal on the first on the Niacinamide. As you can see on the BHA exfoliant. That's how both of them came. WELL SEALED. I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE COMPLAINED THAT THE PRODUCT DOESN'T COME SEALED. IT'S BRAND NEW. I will leave another review after I use it

I used this product in a recent skincare routine video, search on YOUTUBE - "MISS YANYI Acne Skincare Routine" if you would like to see it in action.I have been using this serum with a combination of other Paulas Choices products and my skin has never looked better. This serum has really improved the texture of my skin, I'm noticing it feels smoother and brighter. Also love that it absorbs really nicely into my skin.

I was excited about getting this new product as there are almost none with this much niacinamide on the market except for DIY type of formulations that can't really be trusted and even dermatologist formulations (like Curology) often max out at 4%. Niacinamide is one of few scientifically proven ingredients that help reduce pore size and even skin tone. I use this after the 2% BHA as recommended on the PC site or at night after AHA. The BHA liquid is supposed to unclog the pores and this niacinamide is supposed to help penetrate further into the pore lining. I have now been using this for a few months (on my second bottle). Honestly I can'r say for sure that this has made any big difference as I use many other products as well and don't have any significant problems but perhaps it has had a preventative effect. Unfortunately it doesn't help uneven skin tone derived from broken capillaries but should help unevenness caused by other issues.I am not crazy about the consistency of this product- it is indeed light, rather like water so it is a bit tricky to spread. I found I had to use considerably more than 2-3 drops to spread it across my face although my face is small. Perhaps this could be solved by pouring the drops into another product that spreads more easily but then I would feel like I wasn't sure I was getting it everywhere. I do love the consistency of the 2% Liquid BHA which is has more slip to it; the niacinamide consistency is more like the blue Resist BHA which is also like water and harder to spread around.While I have now repurchased this I think that aside from the higher percentage of niacinamide I am already getting the other proposed benefits from other PC products. For example if you are looking to brighten your complexion or help with uneven skin tone I think the PC C15 Booster Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster 15% Vitamin C with Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid for All Skin Types - 0.67 oz would be a better option and for antioxidants there's a lot of those in any of the PC antioxidant serums. If you are like me and don't mind using 10 products in any given routine then I would add this but you can't really replace any existing products with it so unless you're main concern is large pores it may not be worth it. It is certainly a superior option to using pore strips and drying alcohol products which only make the problem worse.I'm also curious as to whether it will help 'regular' pores? I think everyone would like invisible pores; I don't see mine in the mirror but I do under fluorescent lighting so I'd like them to disappear from sight even if they are not 'enlarged'. I thought I had excellent skin until I saw my reflection on the subway!Here is my updated current routine where I added this product to my evening routine (normal to dry skin):1. Paula's Choice Clear Back and Body Acne Spray with 2% Salicylic Acid - 4 oz Can also be used on the face instead of the other BHA. And you can use the regular BHA instead of the spray or simply pour it into a spray can. Then I use an AHA body lotion for the rest of body. All of the products I use are fragrance and alcohol free (except for healthy, fatty alcohols) so I think this would be a good routine for most people but if you have very sensitive skin you may want to gradually induce tretinoin and use a lower potency of AHA to avoid sensitivity. There is no problem mixing any of the above products.

I’m in love with Paula’s choice niacinamide drops. They go on really silky Smooth and you can put it on your skin alone or you can mix it into your favorite moisturizer. I used it with Tarte of H2O for an overnight spa for my skin.
