Warning to those with Rosacea ‼️ ⚠️ The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Cell-OX Shield mineral UVA/UVB ingredients are different between tinted mineral colors. Unfortunately, Amazon does not allow you to rate individual color tints. I purchased non tinted “Mineral”, “Tinted Mineral” and “Medium”. I have severe rosacea so I must use a strong mineral sunscreen. The non tinted “Mineral” and “Medium” tint have an additional mineral UV filter, called zinc oxide. The non tinted “Mineral” has 5% zinc oxide. The “Medium” tint has 8% zinc oxide. The “Tinted” light beige color does NOT have that mineral barrier for some reason. Zinc oxide aides in calming sensitive skin and provides additional UV protection. I wish the manufacturer would change ingredients or update consumer packaging to highlight NO zinc oxide for allergy sufferers. So basically the entire Cell-OX Shield line contain zinc oxide except one color, light beige “Tinted”. It makes zero sense unless that is a known allergy. If you’re looking for an alternative in a lighter color like beige, Elta MD UV Physical in color “Tinted” contains 9% zinc oxide. All are fragrance free, paraben free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic. They are all the best mineral sunscreens on the market for sensitive skin, acne prone skin and rosacea sufferers. I hope my review and packaging pictures help others make the best choices for their skin.
